Peltier elements are used to develop electrical heat pumps (USB beverage coolers, mini-refrigerators, cooling of high-performance lasers).

If the effect is reversed, a temperature gradient in the normal direction creates a Peltier element which can be used as a generator (Seebeck effect).

With our research partners, we are developing a textile element based on knitted spacer fabrics and novel alloys to overcome the disadvantages of conventional, rigid generators and to provide flexible solution for future applications.
